Pokopia Event Pokémon: Can You Still Get Them After the Event Ends?
By Nicoletta· Published 10/10/2026
Yes, sometimes. The two known workarounds for missed Pokopia events, what version 1.1.1 patched, and which event Pokémon are still reachable.
Short answer: sometimes. The Pokémon themselves stop spawning the moment the window closes, but there are two known workarounds, and one of them still appears to work. Neither is guaranteed, and neither is officially supported.
This page covers both, what version 1.1.1 changed, and what you can realistically expect to end up with. For the dates and contents of every event so far, see Pokopia events: every current and past event.
What happens when an event ends
Three things, and it is worth separating them because the workarounds affect each differently:
- The event Pokémon stop spawning. Nothing in the base game attracts them.
- The event habitats stay buildable only if you already have the items. The recipes do not disappear from your list, but the event-specific furniture is no longer handed out.
- Anything you already caught or built is yours permanently. Events never take things back, and evolution lines still work. If you caught Feebas during its window you can still evolve it into Milotic today.
So "missing an event" really means missing the items and the spawns, not losing anything you had.
Workaround 1: set your Switch's clock back
Pokopia reads the date from your Nintendo Switch's system clock to decide which events are active. Setting the console's date back into a past event's window appears to still work for reaching events you missed.
How to do it:
- Close Pokopia completely. Do not leave it suspended.
- In the Switch's System Settings, turn off automatic clock sync and set the date to a day inside the event window you want. The windows are listed on the events page.
- Launch Pokopia and do your catching and collecting.
- Close the game, set the clock back to the correct date, and turn automatic sync back on.
What was patched: traveling forward to reach an event before it goes live was reportedly shut down in version 1.1.1. Traveling backward to revisit a past event is a separate mechanic and still appears to work based on community reports. That is the distinction people keep getting wrong when they say time travel is dead.
The honest caveat: this is community-reported, not documented by the developers, and any patch can change it. Messing with the system clock can also affect other games on the same console, so set it back when you are done.
Workaround 2: photograph items on someone else's island
Pokopia lets you visit other players' islands. While you are there, take pictures of any event furniture you spot. Back home, your camera roll lets you 3D-print the items you photographed.
This is the reliable route for event habitat items after a window has closed. It costs in-game materials per print, so go in knowing which recipe you are trying to complete rather than printing everything you see.
What it does not do: it cannot get you the event Pokémon. Printing the furniture lets you build the habitat, and the habitat is what attracts the species, so in practice this often works out, but it depends on the species still being reachable at all.
Which event Pokémon people ask about most
Jirachi is the big one. It ran for two weeks in summer 2026 and is the only mythical an event has given out so far, so it is the entry most people are missing. There is no permanent habitat for it. Clock rollback is the only route.
Everything else is less painful than it looks, because most event lines evolve. Hoppip, Skiploom and Jumpluff all came from the same event, and so did Feebas and Milotic, so one successful catch covers the whole line.
Will missed events come back on their own
There is no announced rotation or rerun schedule. No Pokopia event has been repeated yet, so plan on catching things inside the window rather than waiting for a second chance.
The practical advice: watch the News page in Pokopia Companion for announcements, which land a few days before an event starts, and build the event habitat early in the window rather than on the last day.
