Thank you Solo! & BB updates
August 8, 2026
Hi all,
Thank you Solo for submitting an idea/ fix in the Idea box. With the BB DLC the filtering of houses in BB area was not yet possible. Thankfully, this was a fix I could quickly implement. :)
As you might have noticed: Pokedex and Habitat Dex have been updated with the new BB info.
However... I still need some time to implement all the items needed for the habitats for instance. Also their recipes.
I WILL definitely update the website with all new information!
It will just take me some time. 🐹🫶🏻
If you like the website, please share it with other Pokopia friends! Let's stay HUMIDDD together. 🎶
PS. Check out the new dashboard. You can now also track your progress on the BB DLC.

Bubbly Basin is HERE!
August 5, 2026
Hello trainers!
Bubbly Basin is LIVE and so is the first information here in the Pokopia Companion app. I have used the Pokémon I have caught so far and searched the web to update the app.
As you will see, the Pokedex and Habitat dex are missing a lot of information. Rest assured, I will keep updating until we have it all!
Happy building. :)

A new event is coming: Fetching Scales for Feebas
July 30, 2026
Mark it down in your calendars!!!
A new limited-time event is coming to Pokemon Pokopia on August 13. Feebas will appear in front of any rebuilt Pokemon Center, and chatting with it kicks off a two-week run of collecting Prism Scales on Dream Islands.
Those scales can be traded for swimming-themed furniture. Build a habitat with them and both Feebas and its evolution Milotic can move in as permanent roommates, even after the event ends.
The event runs until August 28 at 4:59 a.m. local time. It is available in the main game only, not on Bubbly Basin or Cloud Islands.
We put together a full guide with all the details, including the furniture items, tips for collecting scales, and how to set up the habitat.
Date and time (local) Event starts August 13, 2026 at 5:00 a.m. Event ends August 28, 2026 at 4:59 a.m. News

Thank you Nick! Legendary Pokemon bug is fixed.
July 26, 2026
Thank you Nick for flagging a bug through the Idea Box! Apparently, assigning a legendary Pokemon to a house would destroy the happiness rating within the app.
None of the legendaries had likes connected to them; meaning they were the worst of roommates for everyone else.
The bug has been fixed!
Happy building. 🫶🏻🐹

Big update! Build Planner & UI upgrades
July 23, 2026
A big update across the Build planner, the Habitat Dex, and the Pokédex.
Build planner got a proper tab bar
The four Build tools (Habitats, Kits, Items, Recipes) now live under a shared tab bar with a sliding pill that follows you between tabs. Switching tabs slides the content in from the correct direction, like flipping between pages.
Build > Habitats checklist fixes
There is now a checklist. Tick off items as you gather them, use +/- to track counts, and bulk-check everything at once when you're done. Unchecking resets your counts. Items and Materials track independently.
My Houses improvements
Bug fixes with 2 floor houses. Thank you Kristi for flagging this!
Liked items from Pokedex
Open any Pokémon and tap Liked Items to see every item that matches their favourite categories. You can add items straight to your wishlist from there.
Before you could only do this when adding a Pokémon to a house. Thank you to the Anonymous e-mailer for the idea!
UI Upgrades
Both on Mobile & Desktop. All with the goal of smoother navigation. Especially on mobile: all buttons (if possible) bottom of the screen.
What's New popup
You can now react to news posts with an emoji.

Coming soon
July 19, 2026
Hi all,
Hope you're enjoying your Pokopia journey ahead of the first update end of August.
I've been working hard on some cool updates!
- As submitted in the Idea Box; you will soon be able to see which item your Pokemon likes from the Pokedex itself. Right now it's only accessible when you assign a Pokemon to a house.
- Some UI changes coming up. Making it easier on mobile & desktop to navigate through menu's. Especially on mobile: I am trying to make sure all buttons are at the bottom of the screen for easy access.
Hope you had a nice weekend.

Finally! Planning a house with 2 floors
July 15, 2026
You can now plan every detail of a house before you build it in-game.
Here is what you can do:
- Build a 1 or 2-floor house and assign up to 4 residents across both floors
- Mark a house as built once it is actually done in-game (keep track of which houses are yet to be built)
- Track which residents have actually moved in, one by one (so you know which Pokemon you're waiting for)
- Everything saves to your account and syncs across devices
What is next?!
I was thinking on building an advisor that can show you cool roommate matches based on caught but unhoused Pokemon. What do you guys think? Let me know in the Idea Box!

Updates this weekend & what's coming!
July 12, 2026
Hi all!
Lots of tiny & big updates on the my houses and the my roommates section this weekend. =)
What I'm working on right now:
Creating a house with 2 levels! This way, the habitat, flavours, etc, will only count/ advice per level.
This feature was requested in the idea box and some of you have upvoted it. So I would like to tell you: I hear you! I think it is an important update indeed and I'm working hard on making it happen.
Haven't been online in a while?
Check out the news page, filter on 'released' and check out what's been updated in the past week.

Roommates update: find the right Pokémon faster, move smarter
July 12, 2026
Filter by specialty when building a house
Thank you for the suggestion in the idea box!
Looking for Litter Pokémon to have them live together? You can now filter the Pokémon list by specialty directly from the filter bar. Pick a specialty and only matching Pokémon show up. No more scrolling through the full list to find what you need.
On mobile, a floating Clear pill appears whenever you have active filters, so you can wipe everything in one tap without reopening the filter panel.
Moving a resident got a whole lot easier
Destination houses now show you everything you need.
When you move a resident, each destination card now shows the Pokémon already living there, their preferred climate, and their favourite food flavour. You can decide where to move your Pokémon without opening every house one by one.
Search by Pokémon name.
Can not remember which house your Marill lives in? Type their name into the search bar and the right house comes up instantly.
Search is always visible on mobile.
The search bar now sits right next to the Filters button at the bottom of the screen. No need to open the filter panel just to type a name.
Bug fix
Deleted houses and to-dos now stay deleted.
If you removed a house and it kept reappearing after a refresh or on another device, that is now fixed. Deletions sync to the cloud and hold across sessions.

Optional house naming & more!
July 10, 2026
House naming is now optional.
With 7 upvotes in the Idea Box, this was a much desired/ needed update!
You can save a house without typing a name. Unnamed houses show a quiet "Unnamed house" label everywhere (cards, modals, toasts, search). Previously the save button was disabled until you entered a name, which slowed down the flow when you just wanted to stash some roommates quickly.
Sort by category on Items and Recipes.
The Build Items and Build Recipes pages now have a sliding toggle to switch between alphabetical order and grouping by category. When you pick "By Category," items are grouped under bold headers so you can scan a whole category at once instead of scrolling through one flat list.
Check all / Uncheck all.
The Item Checklist has a new button that checks or unchecks every item matching your current filters in one tap. On mobile it sticks to the top of the screen while you scroll so it's always within reach. Combined with the category grouping above, you can now filter to "Furniture," tap "Check all," and move on.

Bulk check Items!
July 6, 2026
The submitted Idea of 'checking off multiple items' is now live!
How it works: Apply your desired filters. Click the blue 'select/ deselect all' button.
It will check off all items in current filter.
If necessary, simply deselect the ones you don't have yet.

Cloud Island save slot
June 28, 2026
Cloud Island now has its own separate save file. Switch between Main game and Cloud Island using the toggle at the top of the menu.
Your Pokédex, build queue, habitats, shopping list, and to-dos are tracked independently for each playthrough. Progress syncs to your account on both slots so nothing gets mixed up.
Tangrowth is the Cloud Island-exclusive Pokémon. Find it on the Bench with greenery habitat.
Jirachi has also been added to the Dex!

Item & Recipe checklist OUT NOW
June 27, 2026
FOUR big updates landed today.
Build → Items is live. Browse all 1,706 items in the game, mark what you've crafted, filter by status (All / Missing / Built), category, or whether an item has a crafting recipe. Tap any item to see its full recipe, what it's used in, and which habitats need it. Add items to your shopping list directly from the detail view. On mobile, swipe left and right to browse items one by one.
Build → Recipes is also live. Browse all 717 craftable recipes, mark which ones you've learned, and filter by status or category. Tap any recipe to see its full ingredient list. Tracked separately from your item ownership so you can tell at a glance what you own versus what you know how to make.
Shopping List now has tabs. Instead of one long page with collapsible sections, you pick a tab: Habitats, Houses, Build Kits, or Items. Each tab shows your list for that context. If a tab is empty it tells you where to go to add things. The tab you last used is remembered. The Pokémon Houses tab also got a new layout: items on the left, materials needed on the right, with a live counter so you can track how many of each material you already have.
Build → Kits now shows size info for every kit: length, width, height, number of floors, and how many Pokémon can live in it.

Event time travel is patched
June 22, 2026
Since launch, players have been able to change their Switch system clock to jump forward in time and access events before they went live. Version 1.1.1, released June 18, closes that loophole.
The game now checks the server before unlocking any time-gated event content. If the server says the event hasn't started yet, you're not getting in.
This applies right away for the Jirachi visit, which starts June 23. You'll need to be online and on the real date to participate.

Everything Coming to Pokopia in August
June 20, 2026
Get Ready to Dive
August is shaping up to be Pokopia's biggest month since launch. A free software update and the first paid DLC drop at the same time — and whether you're planning to buy the Expansion Pass or not, there's something in here worth preparing for.
The Free Dive Update (All Players)
The headliner for everyone is Dive — a new ability that gives your Ditto a bubble helmet and lets you swim beneath the surface. Once you have it, underwater caves, sunken objects, and aquatic habitats that are invisible from above all open up. You'll be able to build homes and place habitats on the ocean floor, not just scout it.
How to unlock Dive:
- Progress to Bleak Beach and complete the request "Raise the environment level!"
- Make sure Ditto already has both Jump and Surf unlocked — Dive is gated behind them.
- Once Dive is learned, press B while Surfing to go under.
No Expansion Pass required. This is a free update for every player.
Bubbly Basin: Expansion Pass Part 1
If you do pick up the Expansion Pass ($34.99 / £29.99 / €34.99), August also brings Bubbly Basin — a fully underwater town and the first of three DLC areas. It's built around Pokémon that live in the sea, including Popplio, Mudkip, and Corphish, none of whom appear in the base game.
Bubbly Basin adds:
- New ocean floor-themed furniture and décor
- Fresh outfits for Ditto
- 30 rare Pokémetal ingots and a recipe for Ditto print blocks and wallpaper (purchase bonuses, claimed on entry)
Parts 2 and 3 of the Expansion Pass arrive in late 2026 and 2027 respectively — one purchase covers all three. A base game + Expansion Pass bundle is available for $104.99 for anyone who hasn't picked up Pokopia yet.
What to Do Before August
A few things worth taking care of now:
- Push through Bleak Beach. The "Raise the environment level!" request must be completed before Dive unlocks. If you're not there ye

Companions share furniture now
June 18, 2026
Pokopia picked up two patches in June. Version 1.1.0 arrived on June 9, and version 1.1.1 followed on June 18.
Here is what changed.
The headline from 1.1.0 is companion behavior. When you sit or lie down on a chair or bed, the Pokémon traveling with Ditto will now use nearby furniture alongside you, if there is space. It is the kind of detail that makes the island feel lived in rather than just decorated.
Eeveelution fans will spot one specific change too: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Glaceon, and Sylveon now sleep at the edge of sofas, the same way Leafeon always has. The whole evolution line behaves consistently now.
The same update added new dialogue variations, including fresh lines for when a Pokémon shows a "…" speech bubble. The timing of those pauses changed too. If you have logged a lot of hours in Pokopia, you will start hearing conversations you have not caught before.
Two quality-of-life changes also arrived in 1.1.0. During in-game events, you can now temporarily suspend trades at the Pokémon Center, which helps if you want to focus on an event without incoming requests piling up. The game also updated the text on Pokémon house-building requests to be clearer. If you track your construction order in the Build Queue, the updated in-game wording now matches what the requests actually ask for.
Patch 1.1.1, released nine days later, fixed two bugs. One caused problems when placed items in an area exceeded a certain limit. The other stopped Ditto's face from changing when you used an emote during photo mode. Not dramatic fixes, but both matter if you decorate heavily or spend time with the camera.
The next major update is on track for August 2026, arriving alongside Part 1 of the Expansion Pass.

Special Interactions Map
June 18, 2026
Special interactions now visible in Pokémon information within the Pokédex.
A Special Interactions button now appears on the Pokédex page on desktop. Clicking it opens a full-screen network map showing which Pokémon can have special conversations with each other. You can search for a Pokémon by name, click a cluster to zoom in, pan and zoom freely.

Hop between Dexes
June 16, 2026
Tap any habitat inside a Pokémon's detail to jump straight to it in the Habitat Dex. Tap any Pokémon inside a habitat to jump to the Pokédex. Your phone's back button returns to where you came from. No more switching tabs and searching twice.
Plus an Undo on every check and un-check, and on desktop the Habitat Dex rows give the + and ⓘ buttons full-row height so they're easier to hit.
