Dream Islands are floating resource zones you can visit once a day through Drifloon. This guide covers how to access them and how to pick the right island for what you need.

Set up Drifloon's habitat

Head to the western beach of Withered Wasteland. That is where Drifloon lives. Invite it to your town, then build its habitat: three Campfires placed side by side. Each Campfire requires a Sturdy Stick and a Stone to craft. Ask Charmander or any Pokémon with the Burn ability to light them. Once all three are burning, Drifloon moves in.

Find your first dolls

Dolls are what you bring to Drifloon to choose a destination. Two early fixed locations to check:

• Smash the fragile boulders east of the Pokémon Center using Rock Smash. Behind them is a glowing rock that holds an Eevee Doll.
• Check the derelict house in the southwest corner of Bleak Beach for a Pikachu Doll and a second Eevee Doll.

After that, smash glowing blocks anywhere in the world. Dolls turn up randomly inside them.

Visit an island

With a doll in your bag, speak to Drifloon in its habitat. Pick the transport option and you will land on a floating island. Layouts change every day and resources vary between visits, so explore the whole area before leaving. You can only visit one island per day, so choose your doll before you go.

Match your doll to what you need

Five island types each supply different materials. The doll you bring determines which one you land on.

Eevee Doll (Wasteland island): Leppa Berry, Vine Rope, Glowing Mushrooms. Suicune can appear here.

Pikachu Doll (Ocean island): Water-biome resources. Raikou can appear here.

Arcanine Doll (Volcanic island): The best source of Iron Ore and Gold Ore for late-game crafting. Entei can appear here.

Dragonite Doll (Sky island): Crystal Fragments and Pokémetal Fragments for high-tier recipes. Mewtwo can appear here.

Ditto Doll or Substitute Doll: Takes you to a random island type.
