Install Pokopia Companion on your phone

Published 6/20/2026

Pokopia Companion works like an app on your phone. Here is how to add it to your home screen in under a minute, on both iPhone and Android.

Pokopia Companion is a Progressive Web App. That means you can install it on your phone and open it just like any other app, without going through the App Store or Google Play. It is free and takes less than a minute.

Why bother installing it?

When you install Pokopia Companion to your home screen, it opens without a browser bar, which gives you significantly more screen space on mobile. The app also loads faster on repeat visits because the core files are cached on your device. Most importantly, the main tools work offline — so if you are playing Pokopia somewhere without a signal, you can still check habitats, browse the Pokédex, and look up items.

On Android (Chrome)

  1. Open pokopiacompanion.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Add to Home screen.
  4. Confirm the name and tap Add.

The app icon appears on your home screen. Tap it to open Pokopia Companion in full screen, without the browser bar taking up space.

Chrome may also show an Install banner at the bottom of the screen automatically. Tapping that works too.

On iPhone (Safari)

  1. Open pokopiacompanion.com in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the box with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Confirm the name and tap Add in the top-right corner.

The app icon appears on your home screen just like a native app.

Note: the install option only appears in Safari on iPhone. It does not work in Chrome or Firefox on iOS.

On iPad

The same steps apply as iPhone. Use Safari, tap the Share button, and tap Add to Home Screen. On iPad, Pokopia Companion opens in a wider layout that takes better advantage of the larger screen.

What you get

Once installed, Pokopia Companion opens in full screen with no browser chrome. It loads faster, works offline for the main tools, and feels like a proper app. Your progress and sign-in stay exactly as they were.

If you are signed in, your save syncs to the cloud automatically whenever you have a connection. If you play offline, changes sync the next time you open the app with internet access.

It does not drain your battery

Progressive Web Apps run the same way as the browser that installed them. There is no background process, no push notifications running constantly, and no drain beyond what a regular browser tab would use. Install it without worry.
