From July 19, 2026 at 5:00 a.m. to July 27, 2026 at 4:59 a.m. local time, a limited-time Hide-and-Sneak Contest is running in Pokemon Pokopia. Head to any rebuilt Pokemon Center when you load up the game and you will find Zorua waiting out front, ready to get things started.

What is Hide-and-Sneak?

If you have already befriended Zorua and unlocked the Camouflage ability, you know the basics. Press ZR near any object to transform into it, then sneak your way to the PC without being spotted. A Pokemon is actively hunting for you, and if it catches movement, it will investigate. Get caught and you restart from a new location. The clock is always running.

The contest puts a competitive twist on this. Your completion time is tracked, and the fastest time among everyone who participates in your town or Cloud Island becomes the official record for that location.

What you need to participate

Zorua can only visit towns with a rebuilt Pokemon Center, so if yours is not up yet, that is the first thing to sort out before the 19th. You also need to have unlocked the Camouflage ability through Zorua's introductory requests. If you have not done that yet, look for Zorua disguised as an oddly placed square tile near the Bleak Beach Pokemon Center, break it with Rock Smash, and complete her Toy Blocks request.

Playing with others

This event is co-op friendly. You can join another player's world or meet up on a Cloud Island to compete together. The fastest combined time sets the record, so teaming up is worth it if you have friends who are good at the game.

Prizes

Performance-based rewards are on the table, including a trophy for standout runs. The standard Hide-and-Sneak rewards (Fresh Carrots and Stardust for winning, with a bonus for going undetected) also apply during the event window.

A few tips

Move slowly while disguised. The hunting Pokemon reacts to movement, not your appearance, so staying still or creeping is far safer than running for the PC. Pick objects that blend into the environment rather than ones that look out of place. And if you are playing with others, coordinate routes so you are not all heading to the PC at the same time and drawing attention.

The event runs eight days, so there is time to practice, but do not sleep on it.
